Jumatul Bidah: The Last Friday of Holy Ramadan in 2022. The Bengali meaning of the Arabic word ‘Jumua’ is Friday and ‘Bida’ means end. Jumatul Bidah means last Friday. The last Friday of the month of Ramadan is known in our society as Jumatul Bidah. Although the term is not found in any direct or indirect description of the Qur’an or Hadith.

Even so, the month of Mubarak is no less important as the last Friday of Ramadan. Ramadan and Jumuah together make the day limitless and glorious.

Performing Jumu’ah prayers with the congregation in the mosque and attaining nearness to the great God through special munajat and offering one’s prayers to the court of the merciful Lord seems to be the absolute interest of all Muslims on this day.

Greatness of Jumatul Bidah: Jumatul Bida is very glorious for two reasons. Due to the month of Ramadan: The month of Ramadan is a month of boundless virtue and it is a special gift of Allah for the Ummah Muhammadi. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadeeth narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allaah be pleased with him) that your Lord has said that the reward for every good deed of the children of Adam is ten to seven hundred times except fasting. Because fasting is only for me, and I will repay it myself.

And surely the smell of the mouth of the fasting person is dearer to Allah than musk amber. If any one of you treats him ignorantly while he is fasting, he will say, I am a fasting person. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith: 5926, Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1151, Musannef Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 694, Musnad Ahmad: 9714) He said that Friday is the best day for sunrise.

On this day Hazrat Adam (AS) was created and on this day he was admitted to Paradise and on this day he was sent to earth. And there is a time in this day when a Muslim praying while praying must be accepted. (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 491) Jumatul Bida is very important as the last chance to accept certain prayers on the day of Jumu’ah while fasting in the month of Ramadan.

Things to do: There are some circumcision periods on Friday. For example

(1) you have to take a good bath with soap,

(2) you have to wear new or good clothes,

(3) you have to use perfume,

(4) you have to go to the mosque on foot,

(5) you have to enter the mosque first, Must sit in place.

However, due to the prevalence of corona, it is now necessary to follow the rules of hygiene.

(6) The sermon of the Imam must be listened to carefully. A hadith has been narrated from Hazrat Aws Ibn Aws As-Saqafi.

He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: Whoever takes a good bath on Friday, walks to the mosque before, and sits near the Imam, and listens attentively to the khutbah, and does not do anything in vain.
